As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will engage with shoppers and tenants, provide clear communication, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

Be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, corridors, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
Monitor shopper and employee activity for suspicious or disruptive behavior, provide directions and assistance, and report policy violations to site leadership and/or local authorities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, and/or property damage, and complete detailed incident reports.
Control access at designated points, observe alarms and camera monitors when assigned, and communicate timely updates via radio and/or phone to appropriate personnel.
