As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people and packages, checking credentials, and monitoring access points. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and site leadership, and document security-related activity. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals, deliveries, and property entering and/or leaving the location, including verifying identification, checking credentials, and conducting authorized inspections in accordance with site policies.
  • Monitor access points and screening equipment, maintain required logs and reports, and communicate issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and coordinating with internal teams and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as entrances, dock doors, staging areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
