As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a retail location, you will help manage access control at key entrances, greet associates and visitors, verify credentials, and maintain a welcoming presence. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, document activities, and communicate clearly with store leadership to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Control access at entrances and receiving areas by monitoring customer and associate flow, verifying credentials when required, and maintaining visitor and/or vendor logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floor areas, stockrooms, docks, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns for reporting.
• Monitor cameras and alarm systems when assigned, complete incident reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and onsite leadership.
