As an unarmed, primarily driving patrol officer at an aero and defense location, you will complete vehicle rounds across assigned areas, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify the appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production and office areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring authorized entry points, verifying identification and/or access credentials, and directing visitors to sign in and follow site requirements.
  • Monitor alarm panels, access control systems, and video surveillance equipment where assigned, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation with clear, timely, and accurate information.
  • Perform perimeter checks such as checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for signs of tampering and/or unsecured access, and report maintenance issues through the proper channels.
  • Support site emergency procedures such as fire, severe weather, medical events, and evacuation activities, including assisting with notifications and crowd management as directed.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, contractors, delivery drivers, and visitors, providing directions and answering routine questions.
  • Follow confidentiality expectations and handle sensitive information and/or observations discreetly in accordance with site policies.
  • Assist with controlling vehicle access and traffic flow during peak periods, deliveries, and special activities, as assigned.
  • Work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions while standing, walking, and performing patrol duties for extended periods, consistent with post requirements.
