You will respond to concerns, document activity, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification of on-site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify and report hazards, unsecured areas, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and documenting visitor activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in compliance with applicable laws, training standards, and Allied Universal post requirements, and complete thorough incident reports and daily activity logs.
