Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

  • Have 6 months+ armed security/law enforcement/military experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience - preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas including lobbies, corridors, waiting rooms, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor entrances and common areas for unusual activity, assist with wayfinding and de-escalation, and help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Complete security-related reports such as incident documentation, patrol logs, and activity summaries, and communicate noteworthy observations to Allied Universal site leadership.
