Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document activity with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Perform armed patrol duties as assigned, including maintaining proper control of issued equipment and following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document actions taken and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout patient care areas, public spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by observing and reporting unusual activity, providing directions, and supporting staff with de-escalation and/or transport requests when authorized.
