This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting quick patrol coverage and timely assistance to customers and team members. Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or medical services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards.
- Control access to restricted areas, monitor entrances and exits, and assist with loss prevention observations while maintaining a professional presence with customers and staff.
- Complete security-related reports, document incidents and/or suspicious activity, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
