As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly with riders and staff, and support a professional atmosphere through teamwork and integrity. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card and/or License.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including armed post requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, transit areas, parking locations, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization for entry, directing individuals and vehicles according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from emergency services and/or site contacts as needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate observations that may help to deter unauthorized activity.
