As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm communication and strong customer service while partnering with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access control points and sensitive areas, verifying identification and authorization when required, and assisting with visitor management and/or wayfinding requests.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and routine activity logs, communicate post orders during shift transitions, and support investigations by preserving observations and coordinating with hospital staff and/or law enforcement when necessary.
