As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, respond to situations with professionalism, and document key activity. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and interior areas during patrols, assist with wayfinding, and report maintenance issues such as lighting, doors, and/or alarms that may impact site operations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate pertinent information during shift handoff.
