As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will complete visible patrols, respond to incidents, and support store teams and guests with calm, professional communication. This is a driving and armed post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card/license. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity and teamwork to help reduce security-related concerns through agile, reliable service. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sun 12:00 PM - 05:30 PM

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
Be 21+ Years of Age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests and associates while carrying out Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with state and local licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies; complete required reporting and training.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, disorderly conduct, and suspected theft-related activity, while requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, entrances, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support loss prevention and security-related operations.
Observe, document, and report security-related concerns using written reports and/or electronic systems; preserve relevant details and coordinate with site leadership and responding authorities when necessary.
