As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible throughout the location to help deter security-related incidents. In this armed role, you will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment to address various scenarios.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks and observe any unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols and healthcare site requirements.
  • Interact professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors, providing assistance as needed while upholding site-specific regulations.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and healthcare location policies, adhering to all applicable laws and procedures.
