Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
Be at least 21+ years of age.
Possess Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail grocery location.
Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter; observe for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations and report findings.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspected theft, medical calls, and alarm activations; request law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
Control access to restricted areas, verify identification and/or delivery credentials when applicable, and assist with loss prevention support by documenting observed activity and maintaining accurate incident reports.
Carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies; complete required checks, shift documentation, and chain of command notifications.
