You will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service with calm, clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Handcuffing Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at entry points and restricted areas by verifying credentials, inspecting vehicles and/or packages when authorized, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs per post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate security-related observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
