As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and provide customer-focused support to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and/or visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies and security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, grounds, parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor logs, badges and/or vehicle entries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and/or requesting public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Document patrol activity, unusual conditions, incidents and/or maintenance concerns in written reports and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
