Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol the premises of a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control for authorized personnel and visitors.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for irregularities and assist with access control.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate to the site.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees while maintaining a presence at access points.
  • Follow all site-specific procedures to support the security-related needs of the manufacturing and industrial environment.
