As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and use technology to manage access. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activities.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and directions, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during incidents and/or drills.
