As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will support access control by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in, and monitoring entry points and CCTV for security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and provide clear, professional communication and customer service to staff and guests. Requirements

Have 6+ months of security experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges as authorized, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, and directing individuals to approved areas.
Operate access control systems, including monitoring doors, gates, and credential readers, and reporting access issues or unauthorized entry attempts.
Maintain accurate logs and reports, including visitor records, incident documentation, and key and/or badge accountability as required by post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
Help to deter unauthorized activity by observing behavior, communicating expectations professionally, and requesting assistance when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, perimeters, and restricted zones, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Monitor cameras and/or alarm notifications as assigned, document notable activity, and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
