As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and manage entry points to maintain a secure environment. You will interact with visitors and team members, providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. Your presence will help create a welcoming and protected atmosphere for everyone on site.

Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the logistics and distribution location.
Verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations according to Allied Universal guidelines.
Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
Maintain detailed logs of access control activities and incidents as required by site procedures.
