Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will support access control, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and manage entry points for employees, drivers, and visitors. You will remain visible, perform routine rounds near gates and docks, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and maintaining accurate logs.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer traffic by coordinating gate operations, confirming appointments and/or shipping documentation as required by post orders, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing reports and communicating updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around docks, yard areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance concerns or policy issues.
