As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances and exits, manage badge access, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and routine patrols. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points according to site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with security-related procedures unique to chemical and petrochemical environments, following all required guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering assistance to visitors, contractors, and employees as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and/or alarm systems to support the overall security-related operations of the location.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
