As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage production location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and complete routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification and credentials, issuing temporary badges where authorized, managing visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate contact points.
- Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle traffic including employee parking and delivery traffic by verifying appointments and/or paperwork as required, coordinating with site personnel, and helping to deter unauthorized entry.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, access control exceptions, and/or disturbances, and promptly notify site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observe for unusual activity and/or conditions, and complete detailed security-related reports and documentation per post orders.
