As an Allied Universal Officer supporting access control at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter unwanted activity, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • CPR Certification - preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • State, County, or City Issued Security License - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite staff, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and telecommunications location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and communications channels; document security-related activity and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations and/or coordinating with local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter doors to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
