About The Position

As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Full-Time in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a financial institution location, helping to deter potential security-related incidents while providing a reassuring presence for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. Your role involves delivering outstanding customer service, clear communication, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism in all interactions. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess experience with access control or badge systems.
  • Possess a state, county, or city issued security license.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, potential security-related risks, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or customers by providing directions or information as needed in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or other relevant information according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
