As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol PT in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a financial institution setting, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the location to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control procedures, and providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and employees. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution's premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals and activities within the location.
  • Assist staff and visitors with security-related concerns and information as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
