Job Description As a Security Officer - Financial Customer Service Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Your role supports a secure environment by assisting with access control and communicating clearly with visitors and employees. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with attention to the unique requirements of financial institution locations.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client site expectations.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, offering assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks specific to financial institution environments and communicate concerns to the appropriate personnel.
