About The Position

As a Security Officer Financial Building Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the interior and exterior of the location, including business areas, entry points, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to identify suspicious behavior, support visitor management practices, and report security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Support daily operations by providing directions and assistance, maintaining a professional presence, and completing required reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or property observations.
