About The Position

The Security Officer Field Training Officer at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas is responsible for training new hires in various security officer duties. This includes conducting tower patrols using the Tour Trax system, providing evac chair training, and ensuring that new employees understand company policies and procedures. The role also involves outside patrol duties, report writing, incident investigations, and emergency procedures, which encompass fire, bomb, and medical emergencies. Customer service is a key component of the position, as is the ability to perform handcuffing and first aid, as well as communicate hazards related to safety risks for both people and property liability issues. In addition to training new hires, the Security Officer Field Training Officer will conduct in-service training to keep staff updated on new developments in the security industry and advancements in technology. The officer will monitor and evaluate the progress of probationary employees through observation and questionnaires, providing feedback at the end of their probation period. Regular consultations with department supervisors will be necessary to discuss the development of new hires, and the officer will be evaluated on their ability to enhance the training standards for established officers within the department. The position requires the design and establishment of criteria to maintain the efficiency level of all officers in accordance with property security standards. The officer will also be responsible for preparing reports that accurately document events and incidents where the company may face responsibility or liability. This role is critical in ensuring that all security personnel are well-trained and capable of handling various situations that may arise in a casino environment.
