About The Position

As a Security Officer - Federal Facility Patrol in Naples, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a caring, integrity-driven team that is agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and policies at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site leadership when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying access authorization and directing individuals to the appropriate department or check-in location.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in a clear and timely manner.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, rule violations, and/or property concerns to the appropriate personnel and law enforcement when needed.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as radios, access control systems, and/or CCTV where assigned, and report malfunctions or irregularities.
  • Assist with crowd management and traffic control during public meetings, events, and/or peak visitor periods as directed by post orders.
  • Support emergency response activities, including evacuation guidance and accountability support, as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a professional presence and appearance while following Allied Universal standards, post orders, and client policies.
