About The Position

As a Security Officer - Facility Perimeter Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, lobbies, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access control concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, alarms, suspicious activity, medical calls, and property damage, and notify management and/or public services as directed.
  • Monitor access points and observe CCTV and/or alarm systems where assigned, verify credentials, and document authorized access, deliveries, and contractor activity per site procedures.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
