About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, adapting to various working environments and conditions.
Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with questions or concerns, helping to foster a welcoming environment while maintaining security-related protocols.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Support Allied Universal and client management by maintaining detailed and accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
Follow all company and client procedures, policies, and guidelines to support a secure and orderly environment.
