Security Officer - Facility Patrol Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Facility Patrol Rounds in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns. You will support access control and incident response, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver a high level of customer service. Requirements
- Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, lobbies, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and/or fire and life protection panels as assigned, and document observations and irregular conditions for follow-up.
- Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate noteworthy activity to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts.
