Security Officer - Full Time Days
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Facility Patrol Driver in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a food and beverage production location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or access.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted zones.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences in the food and beverage production environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Document all incidents and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Follow all site-specific procedures relevant to food and beverage production, including hygiene and contamination prevention measures.
