Security Officer - Facility Access Control
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Facility Access Control in Coopersville, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout the site. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Carry out access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to the food and beverage location.
- Monitor entrances and exits, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by addressing questions and assisting with access-related matters.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter, noting any irregularities or potential security-related risks.
- Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific procedures.
