About The Position

As a Security Officer - Exterior Patrol in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech and telecom location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to access and alarm issues, and deliver strong customer service and communication to employees and visitors. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout office, production, and/or data and network support areas, including exterior perimeter checks, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems as assigned; report irregular conditions and coordinate response with site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and badging, and directing deliveries and contractors according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in written reports, logs, and/or electronic systems.
