As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Guard in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support access control and other security-related activities. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with guests and staff, and bring a caring, reliable approach grounded in teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related matters according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, hallways, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe on-site activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, support property rules, and assist with security-related incidents as needed.
  • Communicate with hotel or resort personnel, guests, and local responders when appropriate, while documenting observations, incidents, and/or daily activities in a clear and timely manner.
