Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within an educational setting.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify concerns and report security-related issues.
• Monitor access points and activity across the location, assist with visitor directions and policy questions, and document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to post guidelines.
• Support campus operations during classes, events, and after-hours periods by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or disruptions.
