Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
- Control access to a technology location by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, managing check-in and check-out processes, and directing authorized personnel to the proper areas.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems and report irregular activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, loading areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
