Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff while supporting entry screening and access procedures. You will remain visible, monitor assigned areas, communicate clearly, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. Through teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture, you will help create a welcoming experience while helping to deter incidents and support daily operations.

Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while performing entry screening duties at a healthcare location, including greeting patients, visitors, and staff and directing them to the appropriate area.
  • Support site-specific access control procedures by confirming authorization as required, issuing visitor credentials when applicable, and maintaining screening and/or visitor logs per post orders.
  • Complete security-related screening tasks such as visual checks of bags and belongings when required, communicating instructions clearly and respectfully.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of the entrance area, report suspicious activity and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel, and assist with emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
