About The Position

As a Security Officer at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. This full-time evening position involves active patrolling of the campus, monitoring activities, and responding to both routine and emergency situations. You will document daily activities, conduct investigations, and collaborate with team members to maintain safety standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Drivers License with Good Driving Record.
• De-escalation and Physical Intervention training completed within 180 days of hire.
• Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Former military experience.
• Law enforcement experience.
• Previous security officer experience.

Responsibilities

• Actively patrol the campus and monitor activities in and around buildings.
• Respond appropriately to routine and emergent situations.
• Document daily activities via computer.
• Conduct investigations and evaluate situations for resolution.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safety for all on site.
