Security Officer - Evening Site Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Evening Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the commercial property, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairwells, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and maintenance-related concerns, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
- Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor check-in directions and/or credential verification as required, and help support orderly traffic flow at entrances and parking areas.
- Document patrol observations, incidents, and policy violations in daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
