About The Position

As a Security Officer - Evening Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location where you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and document observations with clear, timely reports. You will assist tenants, visitors, and property teams with directions and service-focused communication, while responding to security-related concerns as they arise. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the commercial property, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairwells, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and maintenance-related concerns, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor check-in directions and/or credential verification as required, and help support orderly traffic flow at entrances and parking areas.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and policy violations in daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
