You will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control and badge checks, and document and report security-related concerns. You will also deliver strong customer service through clear communication with employees, visitors, and site leadership. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site staff, tenants, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes within a tech, media, and/or telecom location, helping to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and report unusual activity, damaged property, or unauthorized persons according to post orders and reporting procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public services as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
