As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This role blends routine patrols, strong communication, and customer service with a team-oriented culture built on reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and/or notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout government facilities, public areas, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that need attention.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized entry attempts and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
• Support daily operations by preparing reports, maintaining visible presence throughout the location, and communicating with staff, visitors, and/or local authorities as needed.
