As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel, and provide customer-focused support while following post orders. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
- Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing visitors, drivers, and contractors to appropriate locations.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support routine checks of gates, doors, and loading areas.
