As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with courteous assistance. You will conduct routine patrols, document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and back-of-house areas, verifying authorized access and documenting unusual activity according to site guidelines.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
