About The Position

As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle as part of your patrol duties and respond to calls for service across the property. At Allied Universal, you act with integrity and deliver through teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and access protocols at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor cameras, doors, and other property systems as assigned, and communicate observations and/or issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations, and assist with investigations by documenting observations and preserving information.
