About The Position

As a Security Officer - Evening Patrol Assignment in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and delivers through teamwork with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site area.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying identification, supporting badging requirements, screening visitors per site policy, and documenting entries and exits to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, and coordinate notifications per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, preserve incident details for follow-up, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
