Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, support access control and badge checks, and respond to requests with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting observations and escalating concerns per site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying visitor authorization and directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol documentation and shift activity summaries, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
