As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and contribute to a caring culture through teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • Experience with hospital vaccines is required.
  • Experience working in a hospital morgue is required.
  • Experience restraining individuals in a hospital environment is required.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing support during medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and/or facility alerts.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas such as corridors, waiting areas, entrances, and/or parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Control access at designated points by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to approved destinations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete reports and logs related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or policy violations, and communicate observations to site leadership and local authorities when required.
